The other mines we wish to document are mining sites that are not part of the River Nene Study Group area. These are mines that are not really involved with other mining groups. For example, Thistleton is rather close to Northamptonshire but not in it, it’s a fair distance from Derby which apart from our group would be the nearest club . Thistleton mine is often missed out of all reports and books, due to this we are going to have it in the other mines section on here along with some others like Nettleton. We will aim to give these mines the same amount of attention as “our” own .
