This article is from the Mercury and Herald, dated Friday September 13th, 1940. It covers the inquest into the fatality of a mine worker in the Finedon mine. The worker struck his head on a girder whilst travelling on a locomotive. Apparently he forgot to duck whilst passing underneath and this killed him, even though he was wearing a safety helmet.
