This archive for the early Ruston Steam Navy was located in Northampton archives centre, they have got professionals now flattening/ restoring these images, once this work is completed we hope to get further scans of these images . We hold further documents for this archive, This was used in a ironstone pit in Woodford – Northamptonshire, we do not know the purchase date, The oldest dating letter saying how successful the steam navy performance is dates from September the 8th 1885 . As you can see these documents date from 1879.
